Afghanistan: Then, Now & the Future - One Veteran's Perspective

This is a past event.

Please join us as we welcome Retired Colonel Gregory Marston to tell us about his journey as a commander, fighter pilot and the launcher of a unique humanitarian effort to help local Afghan villages that has lasted years after his tour.  Hear his unique tale of how a parting gift from his unit ended up as a centerpiece in a local Global War on Terrorism  Memorial.

This powerful and moving presentation is filled with high-quality color photographs and maps and has been given to many civilian audiences.  It is completely updated regarding the latest events over the last few days!  A must-see briefing that shows why this issue is so important to the United States.

You'll hear a comprehensive overview of the Afghanistan War (2001-2021), including:

  • a brief history of Afghanistan, an overview of their culture, and the American involvement
  • why and how the American military fought and the cycle of fighting that has lasted for 20 years
  • predictions of possible future outcomes in Afghanistan - with no political bias or inclination.

This event will be moderated by Dr. Ahmet Yayla.
