Black History Month Keynote - Dr. Michael Eric Dyson
In celebration of Black History Month, the DSU Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is excited to announce the hosting of the Reverend Dr. Michael Eric Dyson to campus on February 3, 2022, at 6PM in the DUC.
The Black History Month Keynote is open to all DSU faculty, staff, and students, along with the community.
A New York Times Bestselling Author, renowned scholar, and educator, Dr. Dyson is currently a Centennial Chair and professor of African American and Diaspora Studies in the College of Arts & Science and a professor of Ethics and Society in the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University.
Dr Dyson’s keynote will explore race and social justice while speaking to the challenges often faced when advancing equity and inclusion work in the Academy.
Dr. Dyson’s recently released book, Entertaining Race, is available in the DSU Bookstore for purchase and we will host a book-signing with Dr. Dyson after the keynote event.
