Digital escape rooms place students into a timed game that requires gathering parts of a code in order to escape (or help someone else escape) a locked room before the timer runs out. They complete the code by identifying items in the room related to course material. Each opens a puzzle that poses a question. Correct answers in the right order reveal the code that opens the lock. Students can participate solo or in groups. The goal is to up the stakes in a fun way for review of course material.
